He has a rich history of community involvement, having served as President of the Lindenhurst Rotary Club and as a board member of the GIST Cancer Research Fund. He remains active in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and has served as a Boy Scout leader.

Bill's life was irrevocably altered by the tragic loss of his son, Zander, a joyful 20-year-old who brought light to every moment with his radiant smile and love for his rescued one-eyed cat, Felix. Zander's life was cut short due to medical malpractice, leaving a profound void that no family should ever endure. This unimaginable pain fueled Bill's advocacy for the Grieving Families Act (GFA) in New York, leveraging his family's painful experiences with the healthcare system to push for improvements in patient safety. In honor of his son, Bill launched YesGFA.com to advocate for the signing of GFA by New York's Governor. His fierce resolve for accountability is driven by the family's experiences navigating the complexities of healthcare.

Bill resides in Long Island, NY, with his wife, Jeannie, and their daughter, Amberly, as he seeks to make a difference through his advocacy efforts. He is passionate about promoting patient safety and looks forward to contributing significantly to the mission of Patients For Patient Safety.
